Grounding Large Language Models for Robot Task Planning Using Closed‐Loop State Feedback

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
BrainBody‐Large Language Model (LLM) introduces a hierarchical, feedback‐driven planning framework where two LLMs coordinate high‐level reasoning and low‐level control for robotic tasks. By grounding decisions in real‐time state feedback, it reduces hallucinations and improves task reliability.

A Waiting Line Process of Markov Type

open access: yesThe Annals of Mathematical Statistics, 1956
Summary. Waiting-line or queuing processes of the Markov type are studied, the incoming traffic being of Poisson type and having negative-exponential holding time. The parameters are allowed to depend on time. The problem of finding an exact solution for the probability distribution of the waiting-line length as a function of time is reduced to the ...

Auditory–Tactile Congruence for Synthesis of Adaptive Pain Expressions in RoboPatients

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
In this work, we explore auditory–tactile congruence for synthesizing adaptive vocal pain expressions in robopatients. Using a robopatient platform that integrates vocal pain sounds with palpation forces, we conducted 7680 trials across 20 participants.

Assessing and Implementing Efficient Queuing Methods to Address Traffic Congestion at Shekhi-Choli Intersection in Erbil City

open access: yesTikrit Journal of Administrative and Economic Sciences
Queuing theory is the best way for estimating waiting lines for many phenomena in different fields. Queuing models are used to make decisions on determining the traffic flow in order to avoid congestions in the streets; therefore, it is a useful tool ...

Numerical Modeling of Photothermal Self‐Excited Composite Oscillators

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
We present a numerical framework for simulating photothermal self‐excited oscillations. The driving mechanism is elucidated by highlighting the roles of inertia and overshoot, as well as the phase lag between the thermal moment and the oscillation angle, which together construct the feedback loop between the system state and the environmental stimulus.

Comparison of influence of Thai and Japanese cultures on reasoning in social communication using simulated crowds

open access: yesJournal of Information and Telecommunication, 2019
Difficulties living in unfamiliar cultures are caused by differences in patterns of thinking, points of view, and physical action styles. Learning to understand these different styles is one solution that may help people to live together with their ...

Muscle Control of an Extra Robotic Digit

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This study compares muscle‐ and movement‐based control for operating a supernumerary robotic thumb. While movement control performs better in the proposed tasks, muscle‐based (EMG) control promotes broader motor learning. The results highlight the promise and challenges of using biosignals for human augmentation, offering new insights into intuitive ...
