Non-Markovian waiting time distribution
Simulation methods based on stochastic realizations of state vector evolutions are commonly used tools to solve open quantum system dynamics, both in the Markovian and non-Markovian regime. Here, we address the question of waiting time distribution (WTD)

Waiting times and equilibrium selection [PDF]
This paper shows how graphs can be used to calculate waiting times in models of equilibrium selection. It also shows how reducing the state space can simplify the calculations of both waiting times and selected equilibria. The results are applied to potential games and games with strategic complementarities.

WAITING TIME IN THE WAITING ROOM IN FAMILY PRACTICE AND PATIENT SATISFACTION
Background: Appointment system shortens the waiting time in the waiting room for the patient and allows better use of time for the doctor. We wanted to examine how long patients are willing to wait in the waiting room, how long they waited at the last ...

Are seismic waiting time distributions universal?
We show that seismic waiting time distributions in California and Iceland have many features in common as, for example, a power-law decay with exponent $\alpha \approx 1.1$ for intermediate and with exponent $\gamma \approx 0.6$ for short waiting times ...

Genetic progression and the waiting time to cancer.
Cancer results from genetic alterations that disturb the normal cooperative behavior of cells. Recent high-throughput genomic studies of cancer cells have shown that the mutational landscape of cancer is complex and that individual cancers may evolve ...

Perception of Waiting Time at Signalized Intersections [PDF]
Perceived waiting time at signalized intersections differs from the real value, and varies with signal design. The onerousness of delay depends on the conditions under which it is experienced.
