Detection of ship-wake in SAR images

Proceedings of International Radar Conference, 2002
This paper puts forward a local Radon transform with location capability, on this basis, a new lineament detection algorithm for ship-wake detection in SAR sea images is developed. Experimental results show that this algorithm has a high wake detection probability, and is suitable for the ship-wake detection in low signal noise ratio SAR images.

Automatic sleep-wake detection using electrooculogram signals

2014 IEEE Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Sciences (IECBES), 2014
In this study, we developed an automatic algorithm for sleep-wake detection based on Electrooculography (EOG) in healthy and non-healthy patients. Several features were extracted in time and frequency domains from the EOG signal. The artificial neural network (ANN) was used as a classifier. This pilot study consisted of three aims; the first aim was to

Sleep/wake detection based on cardiorespiratory signals and actigraphy

2010 Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology, 2010
We investigated the potential of adding cardiac and respiratory activity information to actigraphy for sleep-wake staging. A dataset of 35 recordings with full polysomnography and actigraphy was used to assess the performance of an automated sleep/wake Bayesian classifier using electrocardiogram, inductance plethysmogram estimate of respiratory effort ...

Wake detection: a multichannel approach (SAR image)

[Proceedings] ICASSP-92: 1992 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1992
The detection of a wake obtained from satellite images using synthetic aperture radar (SAR) techniques is discussed. After both 2-D and 1-D spectral analysis of both simulated and measured wake images, it is concluded that the wake can be considered narrowband temporally and broadband spatially, implying that a plane-wave decomposition may provide a ...

Detection of seven sleep-waking stages in the rat

Neuroscience & Biobehavioral Reviews, 1992
Seven meaningful sleep-waking stages can be dissociated in the rat. 1) Waking with theta activity in the dorsal hippocampus which corresponds to attentive and/or psychomotor active behavior. 2) Waking without theta activity during which the animal is mainly quiet.
