A Binary Integer Programming Method for Optimal Wind Turbines Allocation
The present study introduces a Binary Integer Programming (BIP) method to minimize the number of wind turbines needed to be installed in a wind farm. The locations of wind turbines are selected in a virtual grid which is constructed considering a minimum

Leading effect for wind turbine wake models
As wind energy expands worldwide, the demand of reliable, fast, cost-efficient wind turbine wake models is growing. This is a significant challenge as wind turbines face various inflow conditions, that include turbulence, inhomogeneities/instationarities and upstream wakes.

Reflected Protons in the Lunar Wake and Their Effects on Wake Potentials
AbstractThe refilling of the lunar wake is facilitated by the wake ambipolar electric potential arising from the electron pressure gradient. Incident solar wind protons can be reflected by the lunar crustal magnetic fields and the lunar surface on the dayside and repicked up, entering the lunar wake due to their large gyroradii.

Upstream-radiated rotor–stator interaction noise in mean swirling flow [PDF]
A major component of the noise in modern aeroengines is rotor–stator interaction noise generated when the wake from the rotating fan impinges on a stator row downstream.

Inlet Guide Vane Wakes, Including Rotor Effects [PDF]
A series of fundamental experiments are directed at the acquisition and analysis of data defining forcing functions generated by an inlet guide vane (IGV) row, including interactions with the downstream rotor, for application to turbomachine forced response design systems. The research fan facility is comprised of an IGV row upstream of a rotor.
