Waking with the hypothalamus

Pflügers Archiv - European Journal of Physiology, 2011

The pharmacology of wakefulness

Metabolism, 2006
Being awake, alert, and able to function in our 24-7 world is a challenge in the face of the fatigue and sleepiness engendered by long work hours, unusual work schedules, sickness, and other factors. On transport in turbulent wakes: methane wakes

Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A. Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 1962
An approximate treatment is given for turbulent diffusion of buoyant fluids in the wake of a falling body. The treatment is developed in detail for the case when a body falls through a uniform region of one fluid, across an interface, into a uniform region of a second fluid which is denser than and freely miscible with the first.

Analysis of Wakes and Wake-Jet Interaction

2003
The near wakes of a wing/engine configuration and a three-element wing segment are investigated. The analysis is focused on the development of the flap and wingtip vortices and their interaction with the engine jets in the near field. The essential details of the solution technique such as grid generation, turbulence modeling, boundary conditions and ...
