Neuromorphic Electronics for Intelligence Everywhere: Emerging Devices, Flexible Platforms, and Scalable System Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The perspective presents an integrated view of neuromorphic technologies, from device physics to real‐time applicability, while highlighting the necessity of full‐stack co‐optimization. By outlining practical hardware‐level strategies to exploit device behavior and mitigate non‐idealities, it shows pathways for building efficient, scalable, and ...

Blade Vortex Interactions: Experimental Measurements of the Near-Flow Field

open access: yesJournal of Fluid Science and Technology, 2009
The near-field flow structure of an intense streamwise vortex filament encountering normally with a blade tip vortex was investigated experimentally. Three cases were investigated, direct impingement, interactions on the pressure side and interactions ...

Ultrathin Li Metal Anodes: Quantitative Design Principles and Manufacturability Across Liquid and Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrathin lithium metal anodes (≤15 µm) offer a promising route to high‐energy‐density batteries due to their high capacity and low potential. This review presents design principles for ultrathin Li, evaluates fabrication strategies, and discusses challenges in liquid and solid‐state cells.

Experimental Comparison of Unstratified and Stratified Drag Wakes of a Dimpled Sphere at Reynolds Number 105

open access: yesFluids
The drag wake of a dimpled sphere is studied experimentally using stereo particle image velocimetry at a Reynolds number of 105 in both unstratified and stratified (Froude number ≃80) fluids at downstream distances of 2≤x/D≤15.

Characterization of wind turbine wakes in a non-sheared turbulent flow [Elektronisk resurs]

open access: yes, 2013
The characteristics of the turbulence field in wakes produced by horizontal-axis wind turbines under a uniform inflow are studied. To this aim, LES simulations of a rotor subjected to different types of inflow are performed with OpenFOAM.

All‐Polyimide‐Mediated Liquid Metal Assembly on Aerogels for Breathable and Robust Electronic Skins

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐polyimide‐mediated assembly strategy resolves the fundamental conflict between physiological breathability and electromechanical robustness in wearable electronics. By integrating a polyamic acid‐encapsulated liquid metal ink onto an ultralight polyimide aerogel, imidization‐induced contraction enables low‐temperature conductive activation and ...

Measurements of High-Froude Number Boat Wakes near a Seawall

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Characterizing the coastal wave environment, typically composed of wind-driven waves and boat wakes, and its interaction with built infrastructure is essential for planning sustainable and resilient shoreline development and protection.

In the wake of the event

open access: yes, 2019
Tekst przedstawia różnorodne podejścia do możliwych następstw (aftermath) dramatycznych wydarzeń.

Nocturnal Intraocular Pressure Monitoring With a Soft Contact Lens Sensor for Glaucoma Management

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A soft contact lens sensor enables continuous, noninvasive monitoring of nocturnal intraocular pressure (IOP) under closed‐eye sleep conditions. By integrating a highly compliant inductive–capacitive circuit onto a commercial lens, the device achieves record sensitivity and stable performance.
