Omnibus Tests for Multiple Binomial Proportions via Doubly Sampled Framework with Under-Reported Data

open access: yesStats, 2022
Previously, Rahardja (2020) paper (in the first reference list) developed a (pairwise) multiple comparison procedure (MCP) to determine which (proportions) pairs of Multiple Binomial Proportions (with under-reported data), the significant differences ...

Robust Wald-type tests based on minimum Rényi pseudodistance estimators for the multiple linear regression model [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Computation and Simulation, 2020
We introduce a new family of Wald-type tests, based on minimum Rényi pseudodistance estimators, for testing general linear hypotheses and the variance of the residuals in the multiple regression model. The classical Wald test, based on the maximum likelihood estimator, can be seen as a particular case inside our family.

Empirical likelihood inference and goodness-of-fit test for logistic regression model under two-phase case-control sampling

open access: yesStatistical Theory and Related Fields, 2022
Due to cost-effectiveness and high efficiency, two-phase case-control sampling has been widely used in epidemiology studies. We develop a semi-parametric empirical likelihood approach to two-phase case-control data under the logistic regression model. We

Strategies for the diagnosis and treatment of the iliac vein compression syndrome

open access: yesJournal of Interventional Medicine, 2019
Aim: To evaluate the diagnosis and treatment strategies for the iliac vein compression syndrome (IVCS) and the factors that affect the treatment outcome. Methods: In total, 69 patients with IVCS were enrolled in the study. The patients underwent computed

Homogeneity Test of Response Rate Functions in Bilateral Correlated Data under Dallal’s Model

open access: yesComplexity, 2023
In clinical studies, paired binary metadata are often encountered during collecting information from paired organs or parts. The risk difference, relative risk ratio, and odds ratios of response rates are widely used to measure cured effects for such ...

Garch Model Test Using High-Frequency Data

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
This work is devoted to the study of the parameter test for the Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (GARCH) model. Based on the daily GARCH model, using the parameter estimator obtained by intraday high-frequency data, the adjusted ...

Liver retransplantation in adults: the largest multicenter Italian study. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
This study is the largest Italian survey on liver retransplantations (RET). Data report on 167 adult patients who received 2 grafts, 16 who received 3 grafts, and one who received 4 grafts over a 11 yr period. There was no statistically significant ...

Robust-BD Estimation and Inference for General Partially Linear Models

open access: yesEntropy, 2017
The classical quadratic loss for the partially linear model (PLM) and the likelihood function for the generalized PLM are not resistant to outliers. This inspires us to propose a class of “robust-Bregman divergence (BD)” estimators of both the parametric

The topological RN-AdS black holes cannot be overcharged by the new version of gedanken experiment

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2022
In this paper, we test the weak cosmic censorship conjecture (WCCC) for n≥4 dimensional nearly extremal RN-AdS black holes with non-trivial topologies, namely plane and hyperbola, using the new version of gedanken experiment proposed by Sorce and Wald ...

Generalised Wald Type Test of Nonlinear Restrictions

open access: yesOALib, 2005
Abstract This paper proposes a generalised Wald type tests to test the hypothesis of nonlinear restrictions. We circumvent the problem of singularity of the covariance matrix associated with the usual Wald test by proposing a generalised inverse procedure, and an alternative simple procedure which can be approximated by a suitable chi-square ...
