Shear stress in smooth trapezoidal channel [PDF]
Laboratory experiments were conducted in smooth trapezoidal channel with side slope 1:1 to measure boundary force and shear stress. Preston tube is used to estimate contribution of wall and bed shear stresses.

A wall-shear stress predictive model [PDF]
Following the approach of Marusic et al. (2010b), here we develop a predictive model for the fluctuating wall-shear stress, where the only required input is large-scale information of the streamwise velocity at a location in the outer, logarithmic region of the flow.

A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

Effect of Hematocrit on Wall Shear Stress for Blood Flow through Tapered Artery
The purpose of this study to show the effects of Hematocrit (Red blood cells), height of stenosis, porous parameter and velocity of blood on wall shear stress of the flow of blood through tapered artery.

This work studies the anisotropic behavior of circular notched tensile specimens of Ni‐base superalloy single crystals during high‐temperature tensile creep along [001], [110], and [111]. Correlative scale‐bridging imaging of specimens reveals early rupture along [110] because 1) plastic deformation proceeds faster at notch center; 2) more (brittle ...

AimsCoronary artery stents have profound effects on arterial function by altering fluid flow mass transport and wall shear stress. We developed a new integrated methodology to analyse the effects of stents on mass transport and shear stress to inform the

Experiments and thermophysical simulations were conducted to investigate the electron beam powder bed fusion electron beam (PBF‐EB/M) process for the γ′‐strengthened nickel‐based superalloy Inconel 738LC. The results demonstrate the impact of process‐induced microstructural variations on high‐temperature mechanical behavior, providing a basis for ...
