Intrasplenic Thymus Organogenesis from Injectable Tissue Fragments Restores Functional T‐Cell Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Clinical intramuscular thymus transplantation yields only short‐lived efficacy and marginal therapeutic benefits. Benefiting from the spleen's intrinsic strengths—rapid vascular perfusion, abundant developmental factors, and resident progenitors—the intrasplenic thymic grafts achieve robust thymic regeneration and substantial T‐cell reconstitution ...

SerpinA3 is an Endogenous TGF‐β Receptor Antagonist that Attenuates Cardiac Fibroblast Activation and Fibrotic Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SerpinA3 acts as an endogenous TGF‐β receptor antagonist that binds to the extracellular domain of TGFR‐1, thereby preventing TGFR‐1–TGFR‐2 complex formation. This receptor‐level blockade suppresses TGF‐β/Smad2/3 signaling, attenuates cardiac fibroblast activation, and extracellular matrix deposition, and ultimately alleviates pressure overload–induced

THSD7A Exacerbates Atherosclerosis via Activation of Signaling Axis αvβ3/CEBPD/IL1A

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
THSD7A exerts pro‐inflammatory effects and exacerbates atherosclerosis. Mechanistically, THSD7A regulates endothelial cell inflammation and atherosclerosis by activating the αvβ3/CEBPD/IL1A signaling axis. THSD7A is not only a genetic marker but also a potential therapeutic target for coronary artery disease (CAD).

Enteric ChAT‐Expressing Neurons Mediate the Protective Effect of Lactobacillus plantarum in Inflammatory Bowel Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In colitis patients and mice, reduced Lactobacillus abundance is observed. Experimental studies show that L. plantarum A736 metabolizes dietary tryptophan into indole‐3‐lactic acid (ILA), while both L. plantarum A736 and ILA impact ChAT‐expressing enteric neurons and acetylcholine levels, thereby regulating intestinal immune responses and alleviating ...

ROBOT-ASSISTED TRANS-GASTRIC DRAINAGE AND DEBRIDMENT OF WALLED-OFF PANCREATIC NECROSIS USING THE ROBOTIC ENDOWRIST® STAPLER FOR THE DA VINCI XI®

open access: yes, 2018
Introduction: Walled-off pancreatic necrosis (WOPN) represents a late complication of severe acute pancreatitis, with a high mortality rate. Its management depends on the patient's symptoms and WOPN location.

Metal stent and percutaneous endoscopic necrosectomy as dual approach for the management of complex walled-off pancreatic necrosis

open access: yes
Pancreatic fluid collections (PFCs) are one of the local complications of acute pancreatitis and include walled-off pancreatic necrosis (WOPN), which are complex entities with challenging management. The infection of pancreatic necrosis leads to a poorer
