The predictability of western and eastern North Pacific blocking events is assessed using analogue‐based diagnostics. Eastern blocks exhibit lower predictability, characterized by faster error growth and higher mean logarithmic divergence rates. The study highlights geographical contrasts in blocking stability.

Ewangoa, a new threatened Central African genus of Euphorbiaceae‐Acalyphoideae
Abstract A new morphologically divergent genus and species of Euphorbiaceae from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ewangoa cardiophora, is described and illustrated. This taxon is easily recognised by its leaf‐opposed inflorescences, which are surrounded by a single cordiform involucral bract. Molecular phylogenetic evidence shows that Ewangoa is a

Quaternion quadratic equations in characteristic 2 [PDF]
In this paper we present a solution for any standard quaternion quadratic equation, i.e. an equation of the form $z^2+\mu z+\nu=0$ where $\mu$ and $\nu$ belong to some quaternion division algebra $Q$ over some field $F$, assuming the characteristic of $F$

Vibrational and dielectric properties of the bulk transition metal dichalcogenides [PDF]
Interest in the bulk transition metal dichalcogenides for their electronic, photovoltaic, and optical properties has grown and led to their use in many technological applications. We present a systematic investigation of their interlinked vibrational and

Waste by any other name? National end‐of‐waste rulings and waste shipments
Abstract Transitioning to a circular economy is one of the main environmental objectives of the European Union. The circular economy aims to achieve more efficient resource utilisation, minimisation of waste and harnessing waste as a raw material. Moreover, many circular economy provisions lay down requirements and objectives for increased recycling ...

Vibrational and dielectric properties of monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides [PDF]
First-principles studies of two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides have contributed considerably to the understanding of their dielectric, optical, elastic, and vibrational properties. The majority of works to date focus on a single material or

ABSTRACT Restoring river connectivity through barrier removal is a key objective of contemporary river restoration policies, including the EU Nature Restoration Regulation. However, prioritizing which barriers to remove remains challenging because of limited resources, fragmented governance and uncertainty around costs and feasibility.

Workflow of the work. (1) Human muscle biopsies were collected, and the human muscle precursor cells (hMPC) were isolated, followed by co‐culture with human monocytes (THP‐1). In parallel, human muscles were decellularised to obtain an extracellular matrix (ECM) free of cells. ECM were recellularised by injecting hMPC and THP1 into the matrix.
