PAPR reduction of optical OFDM signals in visible light communications

open access: yesICT Express, 2019
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is extensively used in optical communications to achieve high rate transmission. In this paper, Vandermonde like matrix (VLM) pre-coding approach is offered to reduce the high peak-to-average power ratio (

Characterizing and Enumerating Walsh-Hadamard Transform Algorithms

open access: yes, 2017
We propose a way of characterizing the algorithms computing a Walsh-Hadamard transform that consist of a sequence of arrays of butterflies ($I_{2^{n-1}}\otimes \text{DFT}_2$) interleaved by linear permutations. Linear permutations are those that map linearly the binary representation of its element indices.

The Cascading Haar Wavelet Algorithm for Computing the Walsh–Hadamard Transform [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2017
We propose a novel algorithm for computing the Walsh-Hadamard Transform (WHT) which consists entirely of Haar wavelet transforms. We prove that the algorithm, which we call the Cascading Haar Wavelet (CHW) algorithm, shares precisely the same serial complexity as the popular divide-and-conquer algorithm for the WHT.

THE PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF PRECODED SPACE-TIME FREQUENCY MIMO-GFDM OVER RAYLEIGH FADING CHANNELS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mechanics of Continua and Mathematical Sciences
The physical layer is implemented in the present communication era with new multicarrier modulation schemes such as Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing with Multi-Input and Multi-Output (MIMO-GFDM) antenna systems to achieve good spectral ...

Multiscaled wavelet transforms, ridgelet transforms, and Radon transforms on the space of matrices [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2004
Let $M$ be the space of real $n\times m$ matrices which can be identified with the Euclidean space $R^{nm}$. We introduce continuous wavelet transforms on $M$ with a multivalued scaling parameter represented by a positive definite symmetric matrix. These transforms agree with the polar decomposition on $M$ and coincide with classical ones in the rank ...

Protection technique for series capacitor compensated three phase transmission line connected with distributed generation using discrete Walsh Hadamard transform

open access: yesInternational Journal of Engineering Science and Technology, 2019
This study proposes a discrete Walsh Hadamard transform (DWHT) based protection technique for the detection of fault and identification of faulty phase in series capacitor compensated three phase transmission line connected with distributed generation ...
