Spatial multiplexing using walsh-hadamard transform

2016 International Conference on Smart Green Technology in Electrical and Information Systems (ICSGTEIS), 2016
This paper proposes a model (WHT-SMX), that combines spatial multiplexing (SMX) with walsh-hadamard transform (WHT). The use of WHT is to convert transmit symbols of SMX to change location of constellation points. This is helpful in extending the Euclidean distance between transmit symbols for precise detection.

Algorithm of Walsh-Hadamard Transform with Optical Approach [PDF]

open access: possibleJournal of Information and Computational Science, 2013
In this paper, the fast algorithm to Walsh-Hadamard transform (WHT) is studied from the point of view of the optical computation. Firstly, MSD addition and butterfly calculation in discrete WHT are presented in detail. Then the design and implementation scheme of fast algorithm of WHT is proposed and the software simulations to fast WHT are carried out

Recursive computation of Walsh-Hadamard transformations

Signal Processing, 1985
Abstract New techniques for Walsh-Hadamard spectral analysis are reported. Spectral coefficients are updated in real time with each new signal sample, and an eighth order illustrative numerical example is given.

Lossless 2D discrete Walsh-Hadamard transform

2001 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing. Proceedings (Cat. No.01CH37221), 2002
The 64-point separable lossless two dimensional (2D) WHT is composed of the 8-point lossless one dimensional WHT. The latter is obtained by first decomposing the 8-point WHT into 2-point WHTs and then replacing every 2-point WHT by a ladder network. Since the coefficients in the ladder network then become real, the advantage of being multiplier-free ...

Optical Walsh-Hadamard transform for orders 32 and 64

Applied Optics, 1988
A coherent optical system composed of a holographic mask and two Fourier lenses is described for performing an arbitrary linear transform. A set of equations for determining the amplitude-phase distribution of the mask is given. As a specific transform, the Walsh-Hadamard transform for orders 32 and 64 is optically made in 1-D space.

A Walsh-Hadamard Transform LSI for Speech Recognition

IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, 1982
Abstract- Speech recognition systems are coming to a practical stage thanks to the recent progress of the semiconductor technology. We have developed a low cost speaker-dependent speech recognition unit using Walsh-Hadamard transform (WIT). A WHT LSI has been developed to reduce the cost and the space of the recognition unit, and a high rate of ...

A useful property of the coefficients of a Walsh-Hadamard transform

IEEE Transactions on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1980
It has been found that the coefficients of the Walsh-Hadamard transformation of a vector composed of integers have the interesting property of being all even or all odd. The following presents a proof of this property and suggests an application to data compression.

FPGA‐based parallel process for Walsh–Hadamard transform

Electronics Letters, 2020
A field-programmable gate array-based reconfigurable parallel computing unit to calculate the Walsh-Hadamard transform is proposed. The architecture can process long-duration signals with a large number of samples.
