Molecular Interfacial Regulators Enable Stable Sulfide Electrolytes for High‐Performance All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 16, Issue 31, 19 August 2026.
Molecular surface regulation enabled by fluoropyridines stabilizes sulfide electrolyte interfaces across both reductive and oxidative regimes. By suppressing interfacial decomposition, the modified LPSClBr enables high‐voltage operation, stable stripping/plating of Li metal, and long‐life full cells with uncoated cathodes.

The Impact of Ageing on Skeletal Muscle: Roles of Mitochondrial Dysregulation, Systemic Communication, and Exercise

open access: yesJournal of Cellular Physiology, Volume 241, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Ageing is a major risk factor for degenerative diseases, including sarcopenia, which is characterized by a progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass and function, frailty, and is associated with increased mortality. Skeletal muscle regeneration relies on muscle stem cells and efficient communication with cellular microenvironment.

Recycling of Mill Scale Into High‐Purity Iron Through Hydrogen‐Based Reduction

open access: yessteel research international, Volume 97, Issue 8, Page 4162-4175, August 2026.
Mill scale, an iron oxide–rich steel by‐product, is difficult to recycle due to impurities. This study evaluates hydrogen‐based direct reduction and hydrogen plasma smelting reduction as low‐carbon recycling routes. Impurity segregation limits reduction kinetics. Direct reduction achieves 92% conversion in 180 min, while plasma reduction reaches 91% in

Bathymetry Prediction With SWOT Gravity Anomaly Using Machine Learning Methods: Paper 1–Model Development

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, Volume 131, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Only one quarter of the global ocean floor has been directly surveyed; the remaining three quarters are inferred from satellite altimeter‐derived gravity data using techniques developed in the 1990s. These classical methods correlate gravity anomalies with known depths and extrapolate bathymetry in unsounded regions.

Bathymetry Prediction With SWOT Gravity Anomaly Using Machine Learning Methods: Paper 2—Model Evaluation and Uncertainty Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, Volume 131, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Despite millions of ship soundings, bathymetry from satellite derived gravity is still necessary to fill in approximately three quarters of the global oceans. The methods used to carry out this inference have not changed significantly since the 1990s; however new methodology involving Machine Learning (ML) improves the bathymetric predictions ...

Observations of High‐Frequency Internal Waves Near Submesoscale Fronts

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Oceans, Volume 131, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Nonlinear high‐frequency internal waves (HIWs) can occur at oceanic frontal interfaces but are rarely observed directly. This study presents field observations of HIWs near submesoscale fronts (SFs) in the northern Gulf of Mexico. A marine X‐band radar detected a series of organized bands, with a spacing of 50 ∼ 300 m, near SFs.
