ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Multiple sclerosis (MS) exhibits racially disparate rates of disease progression. Black people with MS (B‐PwMS) experience a more severe disease course than non‐Hispanic White people with MS (NHW‐PwMS). Here we investigated structural and functional connectivity as well as structure–function decoupling in the ...

Influence kinds of materials on the Poisson’s ratio of woven fabrics
Poisson's ratio is one of the fundamental properties of any structural material including woven fabrics and textile materials. This coefficient determines important mechanical characteristics of fabrics in many applications, including a variety of ...

The modified dynamics is conducive to galactic warp formation [PDF]
There is an effect in the modified dynamics (MOND) that is conducive to formation of warps. Because of the nonlinearity of the theory the internal dynamics of a galaxy is affected by a perturber over and above possible tidal effects.

A Depolarizing Leak in Sodium Bicarbonate Cotransporter NBCe1 Causes Brain Edema
ABSTRACT Objectives SLC4A4 encodes electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter NBCe1, prominently expressed in kidney and brain. Recessive loss‐of‐function variants in SLC4A4 cause proximal renal tubular acidosis, no brain edema. In the brain, NBCe1 is expressed by astrocytes, where it regulates pH and mediates astrocyte volume changes.

An Enhanced Companding Algorithm for Universal Filtered Multi-Carrier System
This paper proposes a new companding scheme called three μ-law compand-ing to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in a universal filtered multicarrier system. The proposed scheme is more flexible and provides better PAPR reduction and bit error

A Systematic Comparison of Alpha‐Synuclein Seed Amplification Assays for Increasing Reproducibility
ABSTRACT Seed amplification assays (SAAs) enable ultrasensitive detection of misfolded α‐synuclein across biofluids and tissues. Yet, heterogeneity in protocols limits cross‐study comparability and clinical translation. Here, we review α‐synuclein SAA methods and their performance across various biological matrices.

ABSTRACT Objective We aim to comprehensively analyze how regional tumor and edema characteristics are associated with clinical presentations and survival outcomes in a large cohort of glioblastoma patients. Methods Patients with IDH‐wildtype glioblastoma who received brain MRI from 2010 to 2023 were included.
