Organic Synaptic Transistors and Printed Circuit Board Defect Inspection with Photonic Stimulation: A Novel Approach Using Oblique Angle Deposition

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Photonic stimulation‐based synaptic transistor using obliquely deposited dinaphtho[2,3‐b:2',3'‐f]thieno[3,2‐b]thiophene (DNTT) is proposed. The device exhibits stable, tunable optoelectronic synaptic behaviors due to controlled nanostructures and trap dynamics, enabling long‐term memory (LTM) and parallel processing. Its potential is validated by means

The TissueTractor: A Device for Applying Large Strains to Tissues and Cells for Simultaneous High‐Resolution Live Cell Microscopy

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Mechanical strain influences tissue development, homeostasis, and disease. The TissueTractor, a high‐strain stretcher system, enables high‐resolution imaging of live tissues and cells under strain, revealing cellular strain heterogeneity, cytoskeletal remodeling, and morphological adaptations in various model systems.

Native Taylor/Non‐Taylor Dispersion–Mass Spectrometry (TNT‐MS) Allows Rapid Protein Desalting and Multiplexed, Label‐Free Ligand Screening

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Native mass spectrometry enables the label‐free study of noncovalent protein‐ligand complexes; however, it is incompatible with conventional molecular biology buffers. By exploiting the dependence of flow dynamics on the hydrodynamic radius, proteins are seperated, including protein‐ligand complexes, from non‐volatile salts and unbound small molecules ...

“Bad Things Happen in Philadelphia”: Managing Stigma and Threats in the Wake of False Criminal Accusations

open access: yesSymbolic Interaction, EarlyView.
In the aftermath of the 2020 U.S. election, the boundary between activism and extremism blurred, with election officials reporting violent threats and false accusations of election fraud. From a symbolic interactionist perspective, these attacks provide a unique lens for examining the consequences of being falsely labeled a criminal.

Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Neurological Voice Disorders

open access: yesWorld Journal of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Neurological voice disorders, such as Parkinson's disease, laryngeal dystonia, and stroke‐induced dysarthria, significantly impact speech production and communication. Traditional diagnostic methods rely on subjective assessment, whereas artificial intelligence (AI) offers objective, noninvasive, and scalable solutions for voice analysis. This
