The Potential of Energy Savings in Oxygen Production by Pressure Swing Adsorption
The pressure swing adsorption (PSA) units are widely used as an oxygen source. The second PSA unit outgoing stream contains a dry mixture of O2 in N2 that is mostly exhausted into the atmosphere.

Waste heat utilization in a ceramic industry
The scope for energy conservation in a ceramic factory was studied. It was found that the sensible heat of the flue gas from kilns could be used to heat the casting shop. A pebble bed waste heat regenerator was chosen to collect the sensible heat of the flue gas.

Membrane composition and thermodynamic identity as boundaries of life for synthetic cell research
What makes a cell a cell? The boundary of a living cell is not just a wall. Read as a Markov blanket, the membrane separates internal from external states, generating identity and non‐equilibrium order. Can this identity be rebuilt from scratch in a synthetic cell?

We describe detailed protocols for the purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 (MpARF2). This protein is fused to an MBP solubility tag and an mNG fluorescent tag and is purified from Escherichia coli. The presented procedures make it possible to study MpARF2 assemblies, which could arise from phase separation ...
