Organic Electrochemical Transistors for Neuromorphic Bioelectronics: Materials and Manufacturing Technologies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Organic electrochemical transistors bridge biological ionic signaling and neuromorphic computation through volumetric electrochemical gating. This review connects Organic mixed ionic–electronic conductor materials, device architectures, and manufacturing technologies to show how geometry, ion transport, and fabrication strategies program plasticity ...

Anion‐Driven Surface Reconstruction Enables Direct Regeneration of LiCoO2 Cathode Material

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The anion scpecies in molten salt systems critically govern the surface reconstruction of regenerated LiCoO2. LiOH−LiCl flux, featuring strong Cl− adsorption and facile dissociation, directs preferential relithiation on (003) facets and forms a Li−O enriched interface.

High‐Current‐Density Acidic CO2 Electroreduction to Formic Acid Enabled by Multiscale Microenvironment Regulation Over Defect‐Rich Sn/SnOx

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Acidic CO2 electroreduction to formic acid is enabled by integrating mixed Sn/SnOx nanoclusters, K+‐regulated interfacial solvation, and Janus wettability. Coordinated control of active sites, interfacial water, and gas‐liquid transport suppresses hydrogen evolution and delivers approximately 85% HCOOH Faradaic efficiency at 400 mA cm−2.

Synthetic Shewanella‐Bacillus Microbial Consortia for Enhanced Metal Oxide Leaching From Spent Lithium‐Ion Batteries Using Brewing Wastewater as Leaching Agent

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A recycling approach of spent lithium‐ion batteries is developed using brewing wastewater as the leaching agent and an engineering microbial consortium as the biocatalyst. Shewanella oneidensis reduces spent LiNixCoyMn1‐x‐yO2 cathodes via extracellular electron transfer, while Bacillus subtilis removes residual ethanol to eliminate inhibition.
