Arsenic (As) uptake by plants is mainly carried out as arsenate (As(V)), whose chemical analogy with phosphate is largely responsible for its elevated toxicity. Arsenate is known to stimulate reactive oxygen species (ROS) formation in plants that provoke

Analysis of waste water from different waste water systems
Industrial water samples showed the pH range of 9-9.6, whereas the pond water sample showed the pH range of 7.5-8.8. High percentage of the organic matter was obtained in pond water (0.134%) as compared to industries waste water (0.045%). Industrial waste water showed the high Ca+2 metal concentrations.

β‐Catenin/c‐Myc Axis Modulates Autophagy Response to Different Ammonia Concentrations
Ammonia, detoxified by the liver into urea and glutamine, impacts autophagy differently at varying levels. Low ammonia activates autophagy via c‐Myc and β‐catenin, while high levels suppress it. Using Huh7 cells and Spf‐ash mice, c‐Myc's role in cytoprotective autophagy is revealed, offering insights into hyperammonemia and potential therapeutic ...

Key biochar properties linked to denitrification products in a calcareous soil
Meta-analyses show an overall decrease in soil N2O emissions after biochar (BC) amendment. Nonetheless, N2O mitigation with BC cannot be extrapolated to every BC-soil combination, inasmuch as an increase in soil N2O release has been occasionally reported.

An Inkjet‐Printed Platinum‐Based Temperature Sensing Element on Polyimide Substrates
An inkjet‐printed, meander‐structured, nanoparticle platinum‐based resistive temperature sensors on polyimide substrates are demonstrated as proof‐of‐concept. Optimized sintering at 250°C enables stable conductive structures. The Pt100‐ and Pt1000‐type sensors exhibit linear resistance–temperature characteristics with stable TCR in the 20°C–80°C range,
