On the combined effect of wastewater heat recovery and solar domestic hot water heating

2006
The performance of a waste water heat recovery devices in a typical residential water heating installation was analyzed2 and Energy factor (EF) enhancement coefficients determined as a function of fuel (electricity or gas), GAMA Directory/DOE EF3, volume of hot water use, water main inlet temperature, proportion of hot water use that is "batch" vs ...

Experimental and Numerical Study for a Horizontal Wastewater Heat Recovery System

WSEAS TRANSACTIONS ON HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER
This study aims to numerically and experimentally investigate the performance of a drain water heat recovery device. Consequently, a heat exchanger prototype was developed to integrate with classic rectangular shower trays of small dimensions. The proposed drain water heat recovery (DWHR) system was tested using a specially designed experimental stand.
