Mapping Corporate Environment, Social, and Governance Discourses: Analysis of Korean Companies' Sustainability Reports (2014–2024)

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Corporations increasingly use Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reports to articulate their commitments, priorities, and performance in sustainability governance. This study examines how Korean firms have configured and reconfigured their sustainability discourses across industries and time using 634 sustainability reports (2014–2024)

An accessible microfluidic perfusion platform for time‐restricted control of zebrafish embryonic patterning

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Understanding the dynamic nature of developmental networks requires live imaging techniques capable of capturing real‐time developmental processes in wild‐type and mutant embryos as they are exposed to pharmacological perturbations. A peculiar developmental patterning process in early vertebrate embryos is the sequential segmentation of ...

Fish Scales: A Multifunctional Biomaterial from Nature

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Fish scales demonstrate nature's solution to impact protection through overlapping multilayered architecture. This biological design combines mineralized surfaces with collagen networks to achieve both flexibility and fracture resistance. The structural principles inspire advanced protective materials and biomedical implants, where damage tolerance ...

Quantitative Insights into Atomic Scale Oil–Clay Adhesion Governing Shale Oil Retention and Mobility

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Atomic force microscopy reveals a clear adhesion hierarchy between shale oil and clay minerals, governed by nanoscale surface chemistry. Strong interactions on chlorite and illite arise from abundant polar sites and cation bridging, whereas weaker coupling on montmorillonite limits interfacial binding.

An investigation of fluid flow in a water lubricated bearing [PDF]

open access: yes, 1949
The U.S. Naval Engineering Experiment Station, Annapolis, Maryland, is at present conducting tests on water lubricated bearings. High pressures, high water temperatures, high angular speeds, and fine clearances are involved in these tests.
