Tribological Properties of Polyoxymethylene,Polyethylene Terephthalate and Polyetherimide Under Water-Lubricated Conditions [PDF]
To tackle environmental issues caused by traditional oil-lubricated bearings,water-lubricated bearings are increasingly used in clean energy equipment. However, water’ s low viscosity often leads to lubrication film rupture, causing bearings to operate in ...

Design, Development and Testing of Water-Lubricated Ceramic Journal Bearing
Strong shear force developed in the fluid film as the water-lubricated hybrid bearing operates at high speeds. Thus the phenomena of shaft expanding outward and bearing contracting inward happened due to the increasing temperature of the fluid film ...

An adhesive hydrogel depot with polyphenol‐armored nanogenes is developed for treating aged osteoarthritis. This system maintains miR‐140 bioactivity, prolongs its intra‐articular retention, and enhances transfection into chondrocytes, leading to the downregulation of senescence‐associated pathways.

Magnetomechanical neuromodulation using magnetic nanodiscs enables remote activation of neurons. In a hemiparkinsonian mouse model, alternating magnetic fields actuate the nanodiscs to generate torque that opens mechanosensitive ion channels within the subthalamic nucleus, thereby modulating basal ganglia motor circuitry.

Comparison of 4-ball and 5-ball rolling contact fatigue tests on lubricated Si3N4/steel contact
Accelerated four-ball and five-ball rolling tests were performed on HIPed Si3N4 ball samples (rough lapped with surface roughness value Ra0.08 μm and Rq0.118 μm) in fully lubricated condition.
