Research on the Adhension of Water-Based Ink on UV Varnish
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013In order to enhance the adhension of ink, base ink was prepared with proper pigment and grinding resin, as well as dispersing agent, then compounded it and film-forming resin. The paper has studied the major factors, including grinding resin, film-forming resin and additives, which influenced the adhension of water-based ink on UV varnish.

Effect of Photo-Initiator on Curing Rate of Water-Base UV Varnish
Advanced Materials Research, 2011The photo-initiator has a crucial role in the curing system of water-base UV varnish. The formulation of water-base UV varnish was designed and 4 different photo-initiators were chosen to make samples to study the effect of photo-initiator on the curing system of varnish. The curing results were tested and were compared.

Heat and Mass Transfer with Drying of Water-Based Varnishes
1999This study deals with the drying of a dispersed varnish which is applied as a thin film on paper. Global measurements are performed in order to record the drying curves, whereas single phenomena are examined by local measurements. Their results are shown, and the basic equations for the calculation of the drying are presented.
