Predicting the height of the water-conducting fractured zone using multiple regression analysis and GIS

Environmental Earth Sciences, 2019
The water-conducting fractured zone induced by mining under aquifers is channels for water and sand inrushes. A method based on multiple regression analysis and a geographic information system (GIS) is proposed to predict the height of the water-conducting fractured zone in this paper.

Method to Predict the Height of the Water Conducting Fractured Zone Based on Bearing Structures in the Overlying Strata

Mine Water and the Environment, 2019
Numerous mining-induced water inrush hazards have been recorded in northern and eastern China, wherein landforms comprise thick unconsolidated layers. To prevent such hazards, the height of the water conducting fractured zone (WCFZ) must be determined in advance.
