Pebble accretion at the origin of water in Europa

open access: yes, 2017
Despite the fact that the observed gradient in water content among the Galilean satellites is globally consistent with a formation in a circum-Jovian disk on both sides of the snowline, the mechanisms that led to a low water mass fraction in Europa ...

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

THE GAS EXCHANCHE AND YIELDING OF STRAWBERRY PLANTS CULTIVATED IN BLACK SOIL AND SANDY SOIL WITH THE ADDITION OF HYDROGEL

open access: yesActa Scientiarum Polonorum: Hortorum Cultus, 2005
The influence of the addition of Potassium Ekosorb to black soil and sandy soil on water content in soils, gas exchange in leaves and yielding of strawberry plants cultivar Senga Sengana, Dukat, Kent and Elsanta was estimated in a field experiment.

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Measurement of vadose zone water content with direct-push nuclear magnetic resonance logging

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Communications
Predicting the efficiency of managed aquifer recharge (MAR) operation requires understanding the distribution of sediment type and water content in the vadose zone.
