Study on the Damage Characteristics of Red Sandstone Foundation Under Rainfall Infiltration in the Red-Bed Area of the Sichuan Basin—Taking Zhongjiang County as an Example

open access: yesBuildings
The Sichuan Basin in China is one of the most concentrated areas of red beds in China. In the red-bed area, abundant rainfall can easily cause natural disasters, such as landslides, mudslides, collapses, and subsidence. This has had a great impact on the

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

PHYSICOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS FOR QUALITY DETERMINANT OF NATURAL BAR SOAP WITH BINAHONG LEAF EXTRACT AND LEMONGRASS ESSENTIAL OIL

open access: yesJurnal Farmasi Sains dan Praktis
There are two kinds of coconut oil in market that could be a natural soap base, filtered and unfiltered coconut oil that made the differences in fatty acid levels. In the previous study, the unfiltered coconut oil has the higher fatty acid than filtered

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Sorghum bicolor L. Stalk Stiffness Is Marginally Affected by Time of Day under Field Conditions

open access: yesAgriculture
This study sought to better understand how time of day (ToD) or turgor pressure might affect the flexural stiffness of sweet sorghum stalks and potentially regulate stalk lodging resistance.

Promising Immobilization of Industrial-Class Phospholipase A1 to Attain High-Yield Phospholipids Hydrolysis and Repeated Use with Optimal Water Content in Water-in-Oil Microemulsion Phase

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
In this study, we maximized the reactivity of phospholipids hydrolysis with immobilized industrial-class phospholipase A1 (PLA1) at the desired water content in the water-in-oil (W/O) microemulsion phase.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

The extraction process and seed quality of silver fir cones Abies alba Mill.

open access: yesLeśne Prace Badawcze, 2018
Fir cones Abies alba Mill. are not as extensively described in the literature as cones of other species, and therefore, there is no description of the changes in water content and their dynamics during the extraction process.
