It is essential to study how to obtain precise bathymetric and mapping in inland lakes only from satellite data. In this study, the Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) photon point cloud was first denoised by combining the manual interaction (MI) and density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN) algorithm in ...

The Analysis of ETM Image's Spectral and Its Implication on Water Depth Inversion iniamen Bay [PDF]
Dual-spectra ratio method is generally considered superior to single-spectra approach in the most previous studies for water depth inversion by ETM image. In this paper, the correlation between the ETM's spectral and the water depth is analyzed. TM2 gives the largest absolute correlation index in all the single-spectra and dual-spectral ratio.

Depth inversion in shallow water based on nonlinear properties of shoaling periodic waves [PDF]
Abstract Two depth inversion algorithms (DIA) applicable to coastal waters are developed, calibrated, and validated based on results of computations of periodic waves shoaling over mild slopes, in a two-dimensional numerical wave tank based on fully nonlinear potential flow (FNPF) theory.

A semianalytical ocean color inversion algorithm with explicit water column depth and substrate reflectance parameterization [PDF]
AbstractA semianalytical ocean color inversion algorithm was developed for improving retrievals of inherent optical properties (IOPs) in optically shallow waters. In clear, geometrically shallow waters, light reflected off the seafloor can contribute to the water‐leaving radiance signal.
