Research of the Dual-Band Log-Linear Analysis Model Based on Physics for Bathymetry without In-Situ Depth Data in the South China Sea

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
The current widely used bathymetric inversion model based on multispectral satellite imagery mostly relies on in-situ depth data for establishing a liner/non-linear relationship between water depth and pixel reflectance.

Inland Reservoir Water Quality Inversion and Eutrophication Evaluation Using BP Neural Network and Remote Sensing Imagery: A Case Study of Dashahe Reservoir

open access: yesWater, 2021
In this study, an inland reservoir water quality parameters’ inversion model was developed using a back propagation (BP) neural network to conduct reservoir eutrophication evaluation, according to multi-temporal remote sensing images and field ...

Comparative Study on Coastal Depth Inversion Based on Multi-source Remote Sensing Data

open access: yesChinese Geographical Science, 2019
Coastal depth is an important research focus of coastal waters and is also a key factor in coastal environment. Dongluo Island in South China Sea was taken as a typical study area.

Tidal matched field processing inversion for water depth and source range in the Intimate96 test [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2002
Examining Intimate96 hydrophone data (300 to 800 Hz) we see clearly the effects of tidal changes, i.e., of changing water depths. In this work we will examine Matched Field Processing (MFP) sensitivity at that range of frequencies to expected tidal changes (the depth varies ±1.0 m from the nominal of 135 m).

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Single-hydrophone Bayesian matched-field geoacoustic inversiona) [PDF]

open access: yesJASA Express Letters
This paper presents Bayesian matched-field geoacoustic inversion results based on measurements from a single hydrophone. To efficiently compute the posterior distribution, we employ an adaptive Metropolis–Hastings sampling strategy, which dynamically ...

Characterisation of subglacial water using a constrained transdimensional Bayesian transient electromagnetic inversion [PDF]

open access: yesSolid Earth, 2020
Subglacial water modulates glacier-bed friction and therefore is of fundamental importance when characterising the dynamics of ice masses. The state of subglacial pore water, whether liquid or frozen, is associated with differences in electrical ...

ALDOA Promotes Glycolysis and NLRP3/GSDMD Pyroptosis to Accelerate ALS Progression

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Glycolytic dysregulation is implicated in disease progression, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigates how Aldolase A (ALDOA) drives ALS progression through glycolysis‐mediated motor neuron pyroptosis.

Effect of Foot Orthoses on Midfoot Pain and the Volume of Bone Marrow Lesions in the Midfoot: A Randomized Mechanism of Action Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Foot orthoses are thought to improve pain by potentially modifying internal mechanical forces. To test this, we explored whether foot orthoses can modify patterns of bone marrow lesions (BMLs) in people with midfoot pain. Methods Forty‐two people were recruited with midfoot pain, and magnetic resonance imaging–confirmed midfoot BMLs ...
