Features of water supply and water disposal of waste disposal systems in buildings

open access: yesVestnik MGSU, 2014
In the article the main design errors of the systems of rubbish disposal over recent years are considered, in which the systems of water supply and water disposal had a supporting role. The main problems arising during operation of dry cold refuse chutes, the deprived new technical solutions on water supply and sewerage are shown. Solutions of the main

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Selective eradication of pathogenic bacteria using amine-modified corn-straw carbon dots

open access: yesEnvironmental Science and Ecotechnology
The rise of antimicrobial resistance and the ecological harm inflicted by broad-spectrum disinfectants underscore the urgent need for species-specific strategies that eradicate pathogenic bacteria without disrupting beneficial microbial communities ...

Remediation of Contaminated Soils by Solvent Flushing [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Solvent flushing is a potential technique for remediating a waste disposal/spill site contaminated with organic chemicals. This technique involves the injection of a solvent mixture (e.g., water plus alcohols) that enhances contaminant solubility ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

EFFECT AND EVALUATION OF INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER DISPOSAL FOR BASRAH PLANTS BY DIRECT INJECTION

open access: yesMağallaẗ Al-kūfaẗ Al-handasiyyaẗ, 2018
Wastewater effluent of plants is frequently disposed via injection wells or drain fields into the geological substrate near surface water streams. In this study, we evaluated and specified the relationships between the plants wastewater disposal flow ...

Press Dewatering of Sludge with Applications of an Electric Field [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
In the paper industry today, there is a rising concern over the question of what to do with the paper mill sludge. Although in the past most of the sludge was sent to a landfill, this disposal method is becoming less and less acceptable due to increasing

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.
