Dissociation of water by microwave radiation
Radiophysics and Quantum Electronics, 1994The hydrogen-peroxide concentrations c(H2O2) in water irradiated by electromagnetic energy at frequencies of 2500 MHz and 10000 MHz are measured by means of chemiluminescence. It is concluded that water dissociation into H and OH groups is a part of the mechanism of microwave-radiation absorption.

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2009The adsorption of water and coadsorption with oxygen on Rh{111} under ultrahigh vacuum conditions was studied using synchrotron-based photoemission and photoabsorption spectroscopy. Dissociation constants of phenols in methanol–water mixtures
Journal of Chromatography A, 2000A preferential solvation model that relates solute properties with solvent composition in binary mixtures has been applied to the dissociation pKa values of a set of 28 substituted phenols in methanol-water mixtures. The parameters of the model allow estimation of the pKa value of each phenol for any methanol-water composition.

Dissociative model of water clusters
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1999A model of water is introduced that dissociates into either ionic or covalent molecular fragments. The model is based on a semiempirical calculation embedded in a molecular mechanics approach. It contains electronic degrees of freedom that allow the calculation of partial charges that vary smoothly from the bound state to the dissociated states.

Increased Acid Dissociation at the Quartz/Water Interface
The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, 2018As shown by a quite significant amount of literature, acids at the water surface tend to be "less" acid, meaning that their associated form is favored over the conjugated base. What happens at the solid/liquid interface? In the case of the silica/water interface, we show how the acidity of adsorbed molecules can instead increase.
