Enhancement the solar distiller water by using parabolic dish collector with single slope solar stil

open access: yesJournal of Thermal Engineering, 2021
Water desalination is the method of saltwater separating into two parts by using various types of energy. This paper offers an experimental work for solar distillation system to the production of drinking water by single slope solar still integrated with

THE QUESTION OF THE TOXICITY OF DISTILLED WATER

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Botany, 1915
Attention has recently been drawn to the necessity of a physiologically balanced salt solution for water cultures. This necessity arises from the fact that in order to know the effect on organisms of certain single salts or mixtures of salts in solution, one must use a control or check solution, called by True,1 a normal physiological solution.

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Study of diurnal production of distilled water by using solar irradiation distribution about solar noon [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A solar irradiation distribution concept has been used to study the diurnal productivity of a solar still. In this study, a simple single-slope solar still was designed, constructed and tested outdoors (for 9h starting from 4.5h before solar noon each ...

Impact of MgO Additions on the Oxidation Resistance and Compression Behavior of Vanadium Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An increase in oxidation resistance at 600 °C is achieved for alloys containing more than 2.5 wt.% MgO. It has been established that, along with V2O5, MgO6V2, and Mg2O7V2 are formed, which are presumed to enhance oxidative stability. Furthermore, the possible transformation of Mg‐vanadates through reaction with CO2, which presumably occurs in this ...

Elastic Properties and Thermal Expansion Behavior of a Polycrystalline VMnFeCoNi High‐Entropy Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The high‐entropy alloy (HEA) V20Mn20Fe20Co20Ni20 (composition in at.%) can be made single‐phase face‐centered cubic (FCC) when annealed above 1338 K followed by water quenching. In this state, the alloy exhibits the greatest strength‐ductility combination of any quinary single‐phase FCC HEA.
