Enhanced Intracellular Stability and Translation Efficiency of mRNA Drugs by a 2‐arm mRNA Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We constructed a 2‐arm mRNA, characterized by a unique topology formed through the dimerization of two mRNA 3’ tails. The 2‐arm mRNA improves 3’ tail stability and resistance to nuclease degradation, resulting in an intracellular half‐life of up to 65 h. This method substantially enhances the translation capacity of mRNA drugs.

Dental Update, 2011
Water fluoridation schemes have been employed for over 50 years. Water fluoridation has been a source of continuous debate between those who advocate its use as a public health measure and those who oppose it. There have been no new fluoridation schemes in the UK for nearly 30 years owing to principally legislative, but also geographic, financial, and

The safety of water fluoridation

The Journal of the American Dental Association, 1977
This article disputes claims of anti-fluoridationists linking water fluoridation with Down’s syndrome, cardiovascular disease, cancer in humans and animals, and other conditions. Controlled fluoridation of community water has been shown to be the most effective public health measure in reducing caries.

Fluoridation of Water Supply

JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1974
IT IS a professional truism that prevention is preferable to treatment for any disease. The simple expedient of fluoridating communal water supplies offers effective prevention of the most common disease in our nation-dental decay, which affects over 95% of our population.

Fluoride and the fluoridation of water

1982
In the early years of this century a dentist in Colorado, Frederick McKay, observed that the permanent teeth of many of his patients showed either white chalky patches or lines which, in more severe cases, had a rough surface and, some years after eruption, became an unsightly yellow or brown. The condition was uncommon in the deciduous teeth.

History of water fluoridation

Journal of Clinical Pediatric Dentistry, 2003
Fluoride, the milestone element of pediatric dentistry, as well as modern dentistry, has been utilized for the last six decades in practice. Researchers all over the world have used fluoride in several forms in the prevention of tooth decay.Today, we are aware that most of this work has involved clinical research with children.
