Nickel uptake by the water hyacinth

Part A: Environmental Science and Engineering and Toxicology, 1990Abstract Factors influencing the uptake of Ni2+ by the water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) were studied. In the concentration range of 1–1000 ppm nickel the uptake of nickel occurred in an initial rapid phase followed by a slower, near linear uptake phase.
