Discovery of SiO masers in the Water Fountain source, IRAS 16552-3050 [Elektronisk resurs]
We report new detections of SiO ν = 1 and ν = 2 J = 1 → 0 masers in the water fountain source IRAS 16552-3050, which was observed with the Nobeyama 45 m telescope from March 2021 to April 2023.

Water masers in the Kronian system [PDF]
AbstractThe presence of water has been considered for a long time as a key condition for life in planetary environments. The Cassini mission discovered water vapour in the Kronian system by detecting absorption of UV emission from a background star (Hansen et al. 2006).

Variability of water masers in evolved stars on timescales of decades [PDF]
For several decades (1987-2015) we have been carrying out observations of water masers in the circumstellar envelopes (CSE's) of Mira variables, Red Supergiants (RSG's) and Semi-Regular Variables (SRV's) with the Medicina 32-m and Effelsberg 100-m ...

Submillimeter H2O masers in water-fountain nebulae
We report the first detection of submillimeter water maser emission toward water-fountain nebulae, which are post-AGB stars that exhibit high-velocity water masers. Using APEX we found emission in the ortho-H2O (10(29) -> 9(36)) transition at 321.226 GHz

Time variations of water masers [PDF]
The strong water maser line at 22 GHz is an excellent tool for studying shocked and turbulent interstellar regions, especially, if simultaneous single-dish and VLBI data are available. After a brief review of 22 GHz time variation studies, we focus on effects caused by magnetic field pressure on observed properties of water masers.

ABSTRACT The ecology of forests, their losses, and terrestrial wood decomposition dynamics have been intensively studied and reviewed. In the aquatic realm, reviews have concentrated on large wood (LW) in rivers and the transition from freshwater to marine environments in the Pacific Northwest of North America. However, a comprehensive global synthesis

Binary Interactions, High-Speed Outflows and Dusty Disks during the AGB-To-PN Transition
It is widely believed that the dramatic transformation of the spherical outflows of AGB stars into the extreme aspherical geometries seen during the planetary nebula (PN) phase is linked to binarity and driven by the associated production of fast jets ...

Summary Phosphate (Pi) is an essential nutrient for plant growth, and understanding how Arabidopsis thaliana root cells respond to Pi deficiency is crucial to decipher whole plant responses. We perform high‐resolution transcriptomic profiling across five distinct root cell types, identifying differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and differential ...
