A Double-Jet System in the G31.41+0.31 Hot Molecular Core [PDF]
This work presents a detailed study of the gas kinematics towards the "Hot Molecular Core" (HMC) G31.41+0.31 via multi-epoch VLBI observations of the H2O 22 GHz and CH3OH 6.7 GHz masers, and single-epoch VLBI of the OH 1.6 GHz masers.

Accurate water maser positions from HOPS [PDF]
We report on high spatial resolution water maser observations, using the Australia Telescope Compact Array, towards water maser sites previously identified in the H2O southern Galactic Plane Survey (HOPS). Of the 540 masers identified in the single-dish observations of Walsh et al. (2011), we detect emission in all but 31 fields.

Water Masers in the Andromeda Galaxy: The First Step Toward Proper Motion
We have detected and confirmed five water maser complexes in the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) using the Green Bank Telescope. These masers will provide the high brightness temperature point sources needed for proper motion studies of M31, enabling measurement ...

A search for water masers toward extrasolar planets
Water is the most common triatomic molecule in the universe and the basis of life on Earth. Astrophysical masers have been widely studied in recent years and have been shown to be invaluable probes of the details of the environment in which they are ...

Characterizing maser polarization: effects of saturation, anisotropic pumping and hyperfine structure [PDF]
The polarization of masers contains information on the magnetic field strength and direction of the regions they occur in. Many maser polarization observations have been performed over the last 30 years.

5 cm OH Masers in Northern Star Formation Regions
We present a 6.0 GHz excited-state OH maser survey toward 155 northern star formation regions utilizing the Shanghai Tianma Radio Telescope. In total, we detect 44 6.0 GHz OH masers, 8 of which are new detections (one at 6016 MHz, two at 6030 MHz, and ...

Binary Interactions, High-Speed Outflows and Dusty Disks during the AGB-To-PN Transition
It is widely believed that the dramatic transformation of the spherical outflows of AGB stars into the extreme aspherical geometries seen during the planetary nebula (PN) phase is linked to binarity and driven by the associated production of fast jets ...

Infrared variability, maser activity, and accretion of massive young stellar objects [PDF]
Methanol and water masers indicate young stellar objects. They often exhibit flares, and a fraction shows periodic activity. Several mechanisms might explain this behavior but the lack of concurrent infrared (IR) data complicates to identify the cause ...

ABSTRACT This study examines the evolution of climate change discourse in the United States Congress from 1987 to 2017, employing natural language processing (NLP) techniques to analyze floor speeches. Using a la carte (ALC) word embeddings, we investigate how Democratic and Republican members of Congress frame climate change, focusing on denialist ...

Excited-state OH Masers in the Water Fountain Source IRAS 18460-0151
Water fountain objects are generally defined as evolved stars with low to intermediate initial mass accompanied by high-velocity molecular jets detectable in the 22.235 GHz H _2 O maser line.
