A New Method of Fruit Marking for Studies on Chiropterochory

open access: yesBiotropica, Volume 58, Issue 1, January 2026.
We used edible glitter to mark 15,526 fruits of three chiropterochorous plants at 700, 1000, 2000, and 3200 m from a bat roost in Brazil's caatinga. Glitter from all distances was detected at the roost, allowing the identification of specific feeding areas accessed, providing a new approach for zoochory studies.

Seasonal, environmental and individual determinants of double‐brooding in the White‐throated Dipper (Cinclus cinclus)

open access: yesIbis, Volume 168, Issue 1, Page 201-215, January 2026.
In many birds, productivity can be boosted by producing more than one brood during the breeding season. This multi‐brooding strategy may become more common as a response to environmental change, especially in those species for which the timing of breeding is advancing or the breeding season is lengthening.

Wetland location and captive breeding influence trans‐Mediterranean movements in the endangered Marbled Duck (Marmaronetta angustirostris)

open access: yesIbis, Volume 168, Issue 1, Page 245-258, January 2026.
Waterbirds distributed in semi‐arid and arid regions seem to have adapted their behaviour to the availability and seasonality of wetlands, increasing their mobility range. The Marbled Duck Marmaronetta angustirostris is a threatened waterbird that shows trans‐Mediterranean movements but these are poorly known.

Chrysoporthe cubensis‐Induced Wilting in Eucalypt Mini‐Stumps: In Vitro Fungus and Disease Development

open access: yesJournal of Phytopathology, Volume 174, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
ABSTRACT Chrysoporthe cubensis was reported to cause wilting that later progressed to dieback and death in eucalypt mini‐stumps. This study aimed to evaluate the influence of various factors on the in vitro development of C. cubensis and to reproduce the wilting symptoms in eucalypt following artificial inoculation. Conidial production by C.

Rezūm Therapy in Very Elderly Men With BPH: Two‐Year Outcomes From a Multicenter Cohort

open access: yesLUTS: Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms, Volume 18, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Rezūm water vapor thermal therapy is a minimally invasive surgical option with demonstrated efficacy and safety. However, real‐world evidence on 2‐year outcomes in the population aged above 80 years remains limited. Methods A prospective registry was created as part of the International Rezūm Registry database at two high‐volume ...
