Scalable Wheat Bran‐Algae Composites for Edible Electronics with Spray‐Coated Food‐Grade Conductive Inks

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A fully edible wheat bran–algae substrate is fabricated through scalable mould‐compression and spray‐coating, enabling robust, food‐grade platforms for sustainable electronics. A chitosan barrier improves water resistance and ink compatibility, while activated‐carbon conductive films form uniform electrodes with Ohmic behaviour.

Energy‐Enhanced Aqueous Organic Flow Batteries Enabled by Integrated Proton‐Coupled Electron Transfer‐Induced Carbon Capture and Utilization

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an aqueous organic flow battery that integrates energy storage with carbon capture and utilization. By feeding flue gas into an oxygen‐tolerant FFDS posolyte, reversible CO2 capture, utilization, and release is achieved via PCET‐driven pH swings.

Water Pollution Physics

2022
This chapter applies the laws, theories, and principles of physics to contaminants dissolved or suspended in water. Water pollution occurs throughout the hydrologic cycle, including in surface waters, aquifers, sediment, water vapor, and in the biosphere. Thermodynamics and fluid dynamics in the hydrosphere are discussed.

WATER POLLUTION

Water is polluted by many factors among which industrial wastes are the most important. Besides industrial wastes, other factors include herbicides, pesticides and atmospheric pollutants. Pathogen in polluted water causes serious diseases in humans. The whole ecosystem of water bodies is disturbing due to water pollution.
