Water Quality Classification Using Machine Learning Algorithms
ACS/IEEE International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications, 2022Protecting and caring for water is one of the most critical environmental problems today. This research aims to design an intelligent system using machine learning models to improve water quality and predict whether it is safe to be used as drinking ...

The impact of salinity on greenhouse grown crops, especially when grown in substrate systems, differs from the impact of salinity on crops grown under field conditions. The most striking difference between greenhouse and field conditions is the overall much higher concentrations of nutrients in greenhouse soils and substrates.

There is a growing concern with the problem of possible viral pollution of water supplies in this country. From an epidemiological point of view, only the infectious hepatitis virus has been considered to be transmitted by water. Gross contamination of drinking water by sewage wastes was responsible for a major epidemic of infectious hepatitis in New ...

Biochar application is considered to be an emerging strategy to improve soil ecosystem services. However, implications of such application on water quality parameters have not been widely discussed. This paper synthesizes the state‐of‐the‐art research on biochar effects on water erosion, nitrate leaching, and other sources of water pollution ...

The Assessment of Water Quality
Human Factors: The Journal of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, 1975The objectives of this study were: (1) to determine the methods employed by water treatment facilities to measure turbidity, color, and odor in water; (2) to estimate the variability of measures obtained routinely by the most commonly employed methods; and (3) to relate combinations of measured turbidity, color, and odor values to public acceptability

Water is often considered the most important livestock nutrient. It can carry both nutrients and toxic materials and can be a source of poisoning, although death losses are not common. More likely are questions of low-level contaminants or nutrient interactions that affect productivity.

Water Quality Management in Aquaculture
Broodstock Management and Fish Seed Production, 2020In aquaculture, water quality is one of the prime factors that determines the success of that particular culture. Primarily the water quality parameters are divided into three major categories, physical, chemical and biological.

The chapter focuses on the water quality standards used for judging the quality of water derived after the treatment process. An evaluation of health risks associated with drinking water is necessary and timely. There are three basic objectives of water treatment, namely, production of water that is safe for human consumption, production of water that ...
