Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Humic substances (HS) modification favors the reactivity of nanoscale zero-valent iron (nZVI) for water decontamination from nitro-compounds like nitrobenzene (NB), whereas the structural complexity of HS hinders the elucidation of its mechanism. Herein,

Water Recycling in Australia [PDF]
Australia is the driest inhabited continent on earth and, more importantly, experiences the most variable rainfall of all the continents on our planet. The vast majority of Australians live in large cities on the coast. Because wastewater treatments plants were all located near the coast, it was thought that large scale recycling would be problematic ...

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

The effects of quenching and aging on the mechanical and physical properties of recycled aa6061 aluminum chips [PDF]
At present, the usage of aluminum is widely used. The recycling process is needed to respond to the government's call for a green earth campaign cause of the lack of mineral resources on this earth.

Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.

β‐Catenin/c‐Myc Axis Modulates Autophagy Response to Different Ammonia Concentrations
Ammonia, detoxified by the liver into urea and glutamine, impacts autophagy differently at varying levels. Low ammonia activates autophagy via c‐Myc and β‐catenin, while high levels suppress it. Using Huh7 cells and Spf‐ash mice, c‐Myc's role in cytoprotective autophagy is revealed, offering insights into hyperammonemia and potential therapeutic ...

The omnipresence of filterable bacteria that can pass through 0.22-μm membrane filters demands a change in the sterile filtration practice. In this study, we identified that filterable bacteria enriched from a surface water are members of the ...
