Modification of geopolymer surface with a silane coupling agent containing quaternary ammonium group enables the development of dual‐functioning ion exchanger for both cations and anions. In the present study, the performance of this material was demonstrated for the uptake of ammonium and nitrate from water.

Sustainable Plant‐Based Water Repellent Coatings Using Hydrophobic Pine and Palm Pollen
A novel formulation strategy for creating superhydrophobic coatings using plant‐derived waxes and chemically treated pine and palm pollen. By employing acid modification, the hydrophobicity of the pollen surface is enhanced, resulting in water contact angles exceeding 150°.

Why do specific proteins accumulate on “non‐fouling” surfaces? Quantitative proteomics and structural analysis reveal surface‐exposed arginine as the key molecular determinant. ABSTRACT The protein corona determines the biocompatibility of medical devices, yet predicting its composition on anti‐fouling surfaces remains challenging.

Turning Water Into a Tool: From Degradation Pathways to Functional Engineering in Halide Perovskites
Water exhibits a threshold‐dependent dual role in lead halide perovskites, acting either as a degradation trigger or as a powerful tool for defect passivation, recrystallization, and structural engineering. This review discusses how controlled water‐mediated interactions govern stability, dimensionality, and optoelectronic performance, providing ...
