WATER AND ELECTROLYTE REQUIREMENTS FOR EXERCISE

Clinics in Sports Medicine, 1999
Exercise performance can be compromised by a body water deficit, particularly when exercise is performed in hot climates. It is recommended that individuals begin exercise when adequately hydrated. This can be facilitated by drinking 400 mL to 600 mL of fluid 2 hours before beginning exercise and drinking sufficient fluid during exercise to prevent ...

On the time required to freeze water

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2016
By using the seeding technique the nucleation rate for the formation of ice at room pressure will be estimated for the TIP4P/ICE model using longer runs and a smaller grid of temperatures than in the previous work. The growth rate of ice will be determined for TIP4P/ICE and for the mW model of water.

Water Source and Requirements

Journal of Petroleum Technology, 1955
Introduction Poor selection of a water source and a miscalculation of the water requirements can affect adversely the economics of a potentially successful flood. A methodical examination of the sources, selection of the best one available, and application of engineering principles to the development of that source ...

Water Requirements and Water Balance

1997
Animals are composed mainly of water, it comprises about 60–80% of their body mass and over 98% of all body molecules (Macfarlane and Howard 1972). The large percentage is a consequence of the small size of water molecules compared with lipid, protein and carbohydrate molecules.

Water Requirements for Manufacturing

Journal AWWA, 1968
This article provides statistics on industrial water use in the United States. It suggests some basic guidelines for the nation to continue to develop and prosper with the relatively fixed amount of total water available. These guidelines include reuse of wastewater, the increased use of brackish and seawater for industrial cooling purposes, recharging
