An algorithm for calculating water surface elevations from surface gradient image data
Experiments in Fluids, 19962-D water surface gradient data can be measured by a 2-D gradient detector (Zhang and Cox 1991; Zhang et al. 1993). An algorithm for the reconstruction of water surface elevation from measured surface gradient data is described in some detail. The boundary and noise effects are explored.

Use of upscaled elevation and surface roughness data in two-dimensional surface water models
