Measured IOPs of Jerlov water types
Applied Optics, 2022Inherent optical properties (IOPs) of typical ocean waters have been derived from a worldwide database of measured parameters. The optical quality of the world’s oceans can be described in terms of their Jerlov water type, ranging from the clearest Jerlov I to the most turbid Jerlov 9C.

Optical water types found in Brazilian waters
Limnology, 2020Optical water types (OWTs) can represent diverse ranges of Chlorophyll-a (Chl-a), total suspended matter (TSM), and colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM) concentrations, which make them extremely useful for monitoring water quality, for example, detecting eutrophic conditions or tuning remote sensing algorithms.

Nazarov‐type Reactions in Water
Chemistry – An Asian Journal, 2009Abstract Different in water! We have developed Nazarov‐type reactions in water. Different reaction courses compared with those in organic solvents are observed in water. In the presence of a scandium based, surfactant‐type catalyst, water‐trapping products are obtained exclusively.

Bottle or tap? Toward an integrated approach to water type consumption.
Water Research, 2020While in many countries, people have access to cheap and safe potable tap water, the global consumption of bottled water is rising. Flanders, Belgium, where this study is located, has an exceptionally high consumption of bottled water per capita. However,

Demulsification of water-in-oil emulsions using ionic liquids: Effects of counterion and water type
Journal of Molecular Liquids, 2019Demulsification of crude oil emulsions is of significant interest in the petroleum industry. This study aims to investigate the effect of ionic liquid (IL) counterions and water type (distilled water (DW) and laboratory formulated seawater (SW)) on the ...

Sedimentation of zeolite type A in water and waste water
Canadian Journal of Civil Engineering, 1981A series of experiments was conducted to investigate the settling characteristics of zeolite type A, a non-phosphorus detergent builder, in water and waste water. The results obtained from settling column tests in water compared well with predictions made by applying Stokes' law to the particle size distribution curves, despite the nonsphericity of ...
