Water use efficiency by the olive.

2008
AbstractThe olive tree is very efficient in its use of water. It requires 312 g water to produce 1 g dry matter, whereas other evergreen plants such as Citrus and Prunus species require 400 and 500 g, respectively. Water consumption by the olive is 30 and 40% of that of Citrus and Prunus species, respectively.
