Water‐vapor‐permeable polyurethane resin

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2002
AbstractThe reaction of methylene diphenylene diisocyanate with ethylene glycol, dimethyl dimethoxysilane, dimethyl diethyloxysilene, and other additives in the presence of N,N‐dimethylformamide and toluene to form the structure of water‐vapor‐permeable polyurethane (PU) resin was proven with Fourier transform infrared spectra.

Water vapor‐permeable polyurethane ionomer

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2006
AbstractThe reaction of toluene diisocyanate with 2,2,3,3‐tetrafluoro‐1‐propanol (fluoro compound) or 3‐glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane(siloxane compound) and other additives to form the structure of the fluoro‐based or siloxane‐based polyurethane (PU) ionomer has been proven by infrared spectra. Experimental results indicated that the amount of water

Water-Resistant, Water Vapor Permeable Cotton Fabrics1

Textile Research Journal, 1957
The water vapor transmission property of the cotton fiber is used to greatest advantage in plastic-coated, water-resistant fabrics when the coatings are relatively light, and are as much as possible located inside the fabric structure, with cotton exposed on each surface.

Characterization of water vapor permeable membranes

Desalination, 2002
Air permeability and water vapor permeability of naphion membranes were measured using specially built instruments. Air permeability was almost zero. Water vapor permeability was zero during an incubation period. After the incubation period, the permeability became large and then gradually decreased with time.
