A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Analysis of the water‐vapor sources in rainstorm processes in Tianjin city based on the trajectory method

open access: yesAtmospheric Science Letters
Tianjin, one of the four municipalities in China, is the eastern gate of the capital city of Beijing and is of great socioeconomic importance. When rainstorms attack Tianjin, urban flooding often occurs due to the dense river network, well‐developed ...

The Sensitivity of Moisture Flux Partitioning in the Cold‐Point Tropopause to External Forcing

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2023
The dryness of the stratosphere is the result of air entering through the cold tropical tropopause layer (TTL). However, our understanding of the moisture flux partitioning into water vapor and frozen hydrometeors is incomplete.

The Analysis of Water Vapor Sources of Extreme Precipitation in Different Subregions of Qinghai-Xizang Plateau during the Snow Season from 1979 to 2018

open access: yesGaoyuan qixiang, 2022
Water vapor is a critical component of the hydrological cycle, and has an important impact on precipitation and water resources on to the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau (QXP).In this paper, we investigated the water vapor source and contribution of extreme ...

A recent accretion burst in the low-mass protostar IRAS 15398-3359: ALMA imaging of its related chemistry

open access: yes, 2013
Low-mass protostars have been suggested to show highly variable accretion rates through-out their evolution. Such changes in accretion, and related heating of their ambient envelopes, may trigger significant chemical variations on different spatial ...

Effect of starch physiology, gelatinization, and retrogradation on the attributes of rice starch-ι-carrageenan film [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Edible films and coatings have been applied as the potential substitutes for conventional plastics in food packaging. However, their physical and mechanical properties still have limitations and thus require further improvement.

Hands‐on protocol for preparing water‐soluble fractions from agri‐food samples for NMR‐based metabolomics analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This research protocol outlines a workflow for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)‐based metabolomics in the agri‐food sector. Using two case studies—strawberry leaves (solid matrix) and wine (liquid matrix)—it details the procedures for sample preparation, data acquisition, and processing.

Experimental constraints on the stability and oscillation of water vapor film—a precursor for phreatomagmatic and explosive submarine eruptions

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2022
Pre-mixing of magma and external water plays a key role in driving explosive phreatomagmatic and submarine volcanic eruptions. A thin film of water vapor forms at the magma–water interface as soon as hot magma comes in direct contact with the cold water (
