Hyperbranched waterborne polyurethanes

Polymer Bulletin, 2012
A hyperbranched polyol (HBP), viz. hyperbranched 2,2-bis(hydroxymethyl) propionic acid (MPA) polyester-16-hydroxyl, was incorporated chemically into waterborne polyurethane by a covalent bond as a multifunctional chain extender or chemical crosslink for isocyanate (NCO)-terminated PU prepolymers.

Applications of Cationic Waterborne Polyurethanes

2021
The acknowledgment of the hazards caused by using toxic chemicals and volatile organic solvents and components to both environment and human health drove governments and international organizations to consider some restrictions on the chemical industries. These actions forced both companies and the research community to pave a new path for science that

Electrospinning of waterborne polyurethanes

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2009
AbstractPolyurethane (PU) fibers were obtained by electrospinning of waterborne PU dispersions. As dispersion cannot be electrospun, a water‐soluble polymer (poly (ethylene oxide) (PEO)) was dissolved in the PU dispersion and fibers were obtained from electrospinning the resulting mixture.
