Rapid systemic responses of Arabidopsis to waterlogging stress

Plant Physiology, 2023
ABSTRACTWaterlogging stress (WLS) negatively impacts the growth and yield of crops resulting in heavy losses to agricultural production. Previous studies revealed that WLS induces a systemic response in shoots that is partially dependent on the plant hormones ethylene and abscisic acid.

Molecular and physiological responses of trees to waterlogging stress

Plant, Cell & Environment, 2014
AbstractOne major effect of global climate change will be altered precipitation patterns in many regions of the world. This will cause a higher probability of long‐term waterlogging in winter/spring and flash floods in summer because of extreme rainfall events.
