A finite-element numerical approach for modeling tsunamis
A numerical scheme suitable for modeling tsunamis is developed and tested against available analytical solutions. The governing equations are the shallow water nonlinear nondispersive equations that are known to be appropriate for tsunami generation and ...

STEEP UNSTEADY WATER WAVES: AN EFFICIENT COMPUTATIONAL SCHEME
A new method for computing the unsteady motion of a water surface, including the overturning of water waves as they break, has been developed. It is based on a Cauchy theorem boundary integral for the evaluation of multiple time derivatives of the surface motion. The numerical implementation of the method is efficient, accurate and stable.

Water Supply Scheme in Morotai Island
Morotai Island is designated as one of the National Tourism Strategic Area, and has increased demand for pure water. It is known as a dry area where water is difficult to obtain, and therefore, it is necessary to prepare a supply scheme to meet the island's demand.

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Derivation of a three dimensional numerical water quality model for estuary and continental shelf application [PDF]
A derivation is given for a three dimensional mass transport equation which is appropriate for numerical modeling of estuary and continental shelf water quality variations for both the time dependent and steady state cases.

We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Navigation risk assessment scheme based on fuzzy Dempster–Shafer evidence theory
In order to reduce the influence of subjective factors on navigation risk assessment, we present a novel scheme based on the fuzzy Dempster–Shafer evidence theory in this article.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Efficient and Adaptively Secure Attribute-Based Proxy Reencryption Scheme
Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Proxy Reencryption (CP-ABPRE) has found many practical applications in the real world, because it extends the traditional Proxy Reencryption (PRE) and allows a semitrusted proxy to transform a ciphertext under an access ...
