Erosion protection at mining sites using a concrete-enhanced synthetic turf system [PDF]
Many mining sites are facing water erosion challenges due to changing weather patterns and more frequent extreme weather conditions. A concrete-reinforced engineered turf system has been developed for erosion protection and used in mining applications ...

We study hierachical segmentation in the framework of edge-weighted graphs. We define ultrametric watersheds as topological watersheds null on the minima. We prove that there exists a bijection between the set of ultrametric watersheds and the set of hierarchical edge-segmentations.

Modeling nitrogen loading in a small watershed in southwest China using a DNDC model with hydrological enhancements [PDF]
The degradation of water quality has been observed worldwide, and inputs of nitrogen (N), along with other nutrients, play a key role in the process of contamination.

Artificial Intelligence for Aerial Image Detection in Watershed Monitoring: A Case Study of Tamansari Catchment, Indonesia [PDF]
Accurate land use information is vital for effective watershed monitoring and management. This study explores the use of ChatGPT-4o, a multimodal large language model (LLM), to interpret UAV-derived orthomosaics in the Tamansari Catchment, Central Java ...

Detection of Moving Ships in Sequences of Remote Sensing Images
High-speed agile remote sensing satellites have the ability to capture multiple sequences of images. However, the frame rate is lower and the baseline between each image is much longer than normal image sequences.
