Wave-current interaction in Willapa Bay [PDF]
[1] This paper describes the importance of wave-current interaction in an inlet-estuary system. The three-dimensional, fully coupled, Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere-Wave-Sediment Transport (COAWST) modeling system was applied in Willapa Bay (Washington State) from 22 to 29 October 1998 that included a large storm event.

A simple model of wave–current interaction
Journal of Fluid Mechanics, 2015The interaction between a steady current and propagating surface waves is investigated by means of a perturbation approach, which assumes small values of the wave steepness and considers current velocities of the same order of magnitude as the amplitude of the velocity oscillations induced by wave propagation.
