Stabilization of Miscible Aqueous Phases via Diffusion‐Controlled Multifunctional Nanoparticle‐Ligand Complexation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a versatile approach to harnessing miscible aqueous domains, enabling liquid‐in‐liquid compartmentalization using a barrier formed in situ rather than bulk immiscibility. The barrier forms upon the complexation of multifunctional nanoparticles and ligands at the contact boundary of aqueous phases.

A photonic integrated chip for distinguishing the optical wave packets based on a neural-network

open access: yesResults in Physics
In this work, we use an optical-neural network to recognize a series of optical triangular and square wave packets. This chip is designed based on the reservoir computing, consisting of the directional couplers, phase shifters, Mach-Zehnder modulators ...

Stacking‐Engineered Magnonic Topology and Transport in Honeycomb Homobilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Topological magnons have emerged as a promising platform for dissipationless bosonic transport. However, a straightforward and effective strategy to engineer such topological states in real materials has yet to be fully realized. Here, a general scheme for controlling magnonic topological states via stacking engineering in van der Waals ...

Localization of quantum wave packets

open access: yes, 2007
We study the semiclassical propagation of squeezed Gau{\ss}ian states. We do so by considering the propagation theorem introduced by Combescure and Robert \cite{CR97} approximating the evolution generated by the Weyl-quantization of symbols $H$.

From Clinic to Computation: Multiscale Bioengineering Strategies for Durable Biological Aortic Valve Replacements

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bioprosthetic aortic valves have revolutionized the treatment of aortic stenosis, but their durability is limited by structural valve deterioration (SVD). This review focuses on the pericardial tissue at the heart of these valves, examining how its mechanical properties and calcification drive fatigue and failure.

Multi‐Slit Diffraction in Scaled Space‐Time

open access: yesNatural Sciences
We revisit multi‐slit diffraction with a scaling of space and time to exploit an equivalence of wave packets describing quantum free and harmonic oscillator (HO) motion. We introduce a co‐moving frame of space and time coordinates to define an effective,

High-Resolution Crack Localization Approach Based on Diffraction Wave

open access: yesSensors, 2019
The delay-and-sum imaging algorithm is a promising crack localization approach for crack detection and monitoring of key structural regions. Most studies successfully offer a hole-like damage position.
